Shelter Renovation 

Thanks to our volunteers, donors, and shelter staff,  we have been able to help Grass Valley / Nevada City Animal Shelter with some needed improvements. The goal is to make the shelter easier to find, more inviting to visitors and more space for cats. Luckily for the dogs, there is the recent Wolf Creek Park Trail renovation for their walks in the area.

Dogs can now enjoy walks at nearby Wolf Creek Park Trail.

Our Mothers Comfort Project worked with Bright Futures for Youth to sew new beds for the animals.

Mural featuring donors beloved pets painted by Swazzle Puppet Studio artists.

Mural painted by Swazzle Puppet Studio features over 40 dogs, cats, birds and a turtle makes shelter guests feel the love there.

Catio Grand Opening was celebrated by the city of Grass Valley.

Rational Animal honored donors, volunteers and shelter staff with Animal Guardian Awards for their good deeds for at-risk animals.
