Snout About Town

A book about a very lucky rescued dog

by Petrine Day Mitchum

December 9th, 3–5pm

hosted by

Morrison Hotel Gallery, Sunset Marquis Hotel

1200 Alta Loma Road, West Hollywood, CA

What happens when you combine a book about a homeless Hollywood pup-turned celebrity with a benefit for at-risk animals? The result is a fantastic event hosted by Rational Animal and Morrison Hotel Gallery and featuring a special signing of Petrine Day Mitchum’s whimsical new illustrated book, Snout About Town.

The book follows Buster Keaton Browne, a shelter dog who is adopted by the glamorous movie star, Lady B. who lives at the Famous Fabulous Hollywood Towers. Buster enjoys the high life with his own personal assistant, Maggie, allowing readers to experience the glitz of Hollywood through a dog’s eyes. It’s a tail - or tale! - that both children and adults with dog kids will adore.

“Think Eloise, but with a Hollywood dog as the main character,” Mitchum says.

Rational Animal Teaches Friends School Ways To Comfort Animals

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be heading back to Friends Seminary School again this year to bring our Mother’s Comfort Project to their Day of Service. This year we’ve added a special feature on homeless birds, by bringing along the expertise of the Avian Welfare Coalition.

So this year, as well as us teaching students how to sew beds and catnip toys for dogs and cats in need, the Avian Welfare Coalition will show them how to make toys for birds in captivity. At the end of the day, students will deliver beds to the cats at Kitty Kind in Petco, Union Square and the bird toys will be taken to Foster Parrots, a sanctuary for large birds.
